# How Share rewards work

Share is for other photographers — not the family. It's your personal referral link, on the Share page in the sidebar. The link you email a family is the style guide URL; this one is different.

## How to share

Send your personal link in a DM, an email, or a photographer group you're already in. The link tracks automatically. Your friend doesn't type a code at checkout.

The style guide link you send a client is a different URL. That one is `/guide/…` after you publish. This one lives on Share.

## When you earn days

Reward days land when a photographer you referred chooses Pro — not when they create an account. You'll see them in Recent activity as waiting until they've picked a plan.

You both get the same thank-you:

- **60 extra days** if they pick annual Pro
- **30 extra days** if they pick monthly Pro

The days extend the next renewal. They aren't cash and they aren't a separate coupon. Once applied, the next billing date moves out by that many days.

## If you're still on trial or Free

You still get credit. If a friend chooses Pro before you've upgraded, your days are saved and applied the moment you go Pro. Recent activity lists them as waiting until then.

If activity says "waiting for your next renewal," the days are queued against your subscription's renewal date. Polar applies them on the next cycle.

## What doesn't count

Signing up is the first step, not the reward. Self-referrals aren't credited. Share the link with another photographer.

If you don't see someone you expected, they may have signed up without your link, or they haven't chosen Pro yet. Recent activity is the source of truth.
